In 1978, Mark J Rees helped Paul Smith obtain finance to set up the Impact Group. Today, Impact comprises four companies, producing environmental control systems, ductwork and waste handling systems, with an annual turnover of £5 million and a staff of 60. It celebrated its 20th Anniversary
in 1998 with the construction of a new corporate headquarters to house its growing operation.
